wolfewas asked: do you guys retouch your photos?
Like every website that features photos of models, we don’t just put the raw images our photographer takes online. Small edits are made, lighting is adjusted, the watermark is added, etc.
For example, one time I was looking over the photos I’d be posting for the week when I got another pic sent to me from Kato. I opened it up and found it was the same as another I’d received earlier. So I asked her why she sent me a duplicate. She told me to look at the previous version and sure enough, I spotted something that was removed in the new one: a power socket on the wall that had a cell phone charger plugged into it that someone forgot to remove before the shoot. Whoops!
mrmorbid00 asked: I'm sad I wont be able to meet you and Kato at WWWC3 next weekend, I hope you both enjoy Arizona and have a blast at the con.
fighting-thestorm asked: Do you know how long it will take for me to get a reply to the modelling email? Because you guys must get millions everyday
We do get a lot, and I mean a LOT, of applications on a regular basis. I can’t say for certain how long it will take for you to get a response, but on behalf of Kato, thank you so much for your patience.
abominable-doctor-reevus asked: So Kato DOES have a P.O. box? I LOVE YOU. Man, i was so afraid she wouldn't have. I've sent her a message some days ago about a drawing of her i made but there was no reply. I guess i'll just mail it to her then :> You saved a life, professor. Thank you deeply <333
Glad to hear it! Yes, Kato does have a PO Box and, so long as people don’t start sending severed body parts or something, it will remain open to all fans who want to send Kato or myself something. Again, the address is:
PO Box 1904
Sandy, OR. 97055
obsureveins asked: How did Kato first start modeling?
Funny story, Kato actually sort of fell into the modeling world. When Steampunk Couture was just getting started, Kato had no one to model her clothes and accessories that she was creating. So she decided to do it herself! She found that her modeling was getting about as much attention as her clothes, and soon enough job offers started rolling in for her to model for other people. The rest, as they say, is history!
luziamv asked: oh wow! those models are so gorgeous, they have to be so proud of modelling for such an amazing website. I truly love your work.
I think I can speak for Kato and everyone at SteamGirl.com when I say we’re all extremely proud of the work that’s gone into making such a wonderful and successful website. Just wait til you see what we’ve got in store for 2014!
pellmellxx asked: How tall is Kato? She seems to have legs for days in some photos, but then looks utterly petite in others. Enchanting either way, of course. <3
Kato’s about 5’6”,
give or take an inch EDIT: Kato’s confirmed that she’s 5’6” exactly. I’m going to write it down somewhere this time so I don’t forget. She’s got legs and she knows how to use ‘em!
