Q:I'm a makeup artist, and I really adore Kato's makeup style. Is there anyway you could share a list of products she uses so I could do an inspired look? Thank you so much!
Among the products Kato uses are “a lot of Rimmel and I currently swear by L’Oreal’s BB cream”.
Q:I don't know if there's a way I can say this without sounding like a cunt, but that's not my intention. I was wondering about the sizing of your models. They seem tiny. But then I haven't seen many. Do you have size requirements for your models? Do you intend to reflect a diversity of sizes and shapes, or do you intend to stick to small/thin types? Why?
That’s a lot of questions!
So long as the models have a gorgeous face and good proportions, that’s what matters. We don’t encourage any dangerously-skinny models to apply, though. SteamGirl.com aims to keep a classically-beautiful physique for our models, and “malnourished” doesn’t have Victorian sex appeal, nor is it something we want to encourage in women.
If you look through erotica of the Victorian age, you’ll see that there are women of all shapes and sizes. Though there are thousands of photos on SteamGirl.com, I can proudly say that we’re just scratching the surface of what we have to offer.
Q:Do you smoke cigarettes? Do you have strong feelings one way or another about it?
I’ll let Kato handle this one.
” I do not smoke and I’m very asthmatic, so I couldn’t, even if I wanted to. Personally, I feel that smoking is a 1st class ticket to guarenteeing that you end up looking ten years older than you really are, and my grandfather died of lung cancer at a very early age, despite having quit 30 years prior. but if you want to look old and increase your chance of developting cancer, then that’s your choice. I don’t get after my sister or my best friend for smoking like a chimneys. It’s up to them what they want to do.”
Q:With regard to the SteamGirl figure, have you considered doing a kickstarter (or indiegogo or other such type of fund-raising site) to make sure you can produce the numbers you want without taking the financial risk? Just an idea... thought I'd share just in case. Take care! =)
It’s definitely something that Kato has considered, but ultimately she feels that this is something she has to do on her own. In her own words:
“I’ve never asked for money or taken advantage of my fans and I don’t intend to start.”
Q:Do Kato own/use tarot cards? If so, which deck does she have?
